Fun and Focus Dog Training
Group Classes
It’s important that training is fun for both you and your dog, helping you to strengthen the bond at every stage. Seeing a dog progress and respond to positive training is a very rewarding experience. In the first five sessions you will learn how to make progress with your dog. You’ll begin to understand just how much your dog is capable of learning. Watching and understanding your dog’s behaviour and how you influence this behaviour is all part of the training.
Peta 4 Dogs is here to help you, using positive, effective and easy-to-understand, fun training methods.
As a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, UK (APDT, UK), Peta is able to offer owners the chance to work towards one of the many APDT, UK Good Companion Awards http://www.apdt.co.uk/dog-owners/good-companion-awards
With four levels there is something for every dog (and owner) to aim for!
– Puppy Stage 1
– Beginner Adult Stage 1
– Foundation Stage 2
– Progress Stage 3
– Advanced Stage 4 What does the training cover?
- Extending the basics of Sit, Down, Stand
- Lead work – walking on a loose lead, past distractions
- Recall – come away from major temptations and distractions when called
- Self-control – meet & greet politely, extended sit/stay, wait before going out, stay
- Handling – grooming, examination
- Leave it – ignore the food and temptations when out and about
- Plus lots more, to keep you both busy!
Training always includes demonstrations on how to introduce these exercises in a fun and positive way with the use of cues, hand signals and a flexible approach. Get in touch to find out more about Fun and Focus Dog Training.
